I'm a joiner

I joined Project Spectrum! I'm such a good girl. I have two blue things on the needles already!

Starting on Project Spectrum

An almost-finished Icarus

Okay so I'm kind of cheating with the second picture. It's Mom's shawl, which I've had on the needles for about two months. I'm so close to being done that I can taste it though. And I'm closing in on a new apartment with the biggest bed I've ever had, so I might even be able to block it before I go back to Hong Kong for Chinese New Year.

The top picture is the serious Project Spectrum project though. It's been freezing here. It was -7 degrees yesterday. I grew up in Hong Kong, where I think it's about 15 degrees right now? [insert whining here]

I digress. As I was saying, the top picture is the serious Project Spectrum project. I've been craving some knee-socks, and I'm finally going to knit some. I'm using the same pattern as Cara did for all her knee socks.

There's also something else that I've done that I've been avoiding. I frogged the Somewhat Cowl.

The yarn formerly known as the Somewhat Cowl

I feel a rush of relief. Now I just need to figure out what to do with this yarn.

Your poor somewhat cowl! I hate total froggings like that, so much so that I tend to keep on trucking with the knitting, trying to ignore the sick feeling in my stomach that says it won't work.

At the end, it doesn't work, and I feel like an idiot.

What's the point of this ramble, you ask? Kudos to your bravery!

The lace is looking gorgeous.

It's hard to frog, but now you have some lovely yarn for something new :-)
